GDPR & Data Protection

Your rights regarding personal data we process through this website.

This information is provided for transparency about how this website works. It does not constitute legal advice. Last updated: 5 June 2026.

Scope of this notice

This page explains data protection rights in relation to personal data collected through this website (for example, the contact form). It does not replace privacy notices you may receive as a patient of the dental practice for clinical or administrative records held outside this website. [Confirm whether separate patient privacy notices apply — manual review]

Lawful bases we rely on

  • Legitimate interests — operating a secure website and responding to general enquiries submitted via the contact form, balanced against your rights.
  • Steps at your request / pre-contract — when you ask us to contact you about appointments or services through the form.
  • Legal obligation — where we must comply with applicable law [confirm any specific legal obligations — manual review].

Categories of personal data

  • Identity and contact details (name, email, phone)
  • Content of your message and selected reason for contact
  • Technical data processed by hosting providers when you use the site

Recipients

Website-related data may be processed by Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), and, when you load certain pages, Google (Maps embed and Fonts). See the Privacy Policy for links to their policies.

International transfers

Some service providers (including Resend, Vercel, Google, and Sanity) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers are subject to the safeguards described in those providers' privacy documentation. [Confirm transfer mechanisms and locations with each vendor — manual review]

Retention

Contact form data retention: Contact form enquiries are retained only for as long as necessary to respond to enquiries and manage related communications.. Hosting log retention: Server logs may be retained for security, troubleshooting, and operational purposes for a limited period as determined by the hosting provider..

Your rights under GDPR

Subject to conditions in applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you from website interactions.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete data where there is no compelling reason to continue processing.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Data portability — receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used format where processing is automated and based on consent or contract.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (not typically used for the contact form lawful bases described above).

To exercise these rights, email info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie or [info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie](mailto:info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie). We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling in relation to data collected through this website.
