Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information when you use this website.

This information is provided for transparency about how this website works. It does not constitute legal advice. Last updated: 5 June 2026.

Who we are

The data controller for personal data collected through this website is O'Reilly's Dental Practice (O'Reilly's Dental Practice), located at Main St, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland.

For privacy questions, contact us at info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie or (01) 627 2238. [info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie](mailto:info@oreillysdentalpractice.ie).

What personal data we collect

Based on how this website is built, we may collect or receive:

  • Contact form submissions — first name, last name, email address, optional phone number, reason for contact, and your message (contact page).
  • Communications you initiate — if you email or call the practice using details shown on the site, we receive the information you choose to provide.
  • Technical data from hosting — our hosting provider (Vercel) may Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights collect aggregated usage and performance data. We do not use advertising or profiling tools in the website code.

We do not operate user accounts or newsletters on this website.

How data is collected

  • Directly from you when you complete and submit the contact form.
  • Automatically through normal website hosting when pages and assets are requested from our servers and content delivery network.
  • From third-party content when you interact with embedded resources such as the Google Maps iframe on the contact page (see our Cookie Policy).

Why we use your data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to enquiries — to read and reply to messages sent through the contact form (legitimate interests in operating the practice and responding to patients/prospective patients; and/or steps prior to entering a contract at your request).
  • Website security and operation — to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable hosting (legitimate interests).

We do not use your contact form data for marketing unless you separately agree to that outside this website.

Third-party processors and services

We use service providers to run this website. They process data only as needed to provide their services:

  • Resend — delivers contact form submissions by email to the practice. Resend receives the form fields you submit. See Resend's privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and the contact form API. See Vercel's privacy policy.
  • Sanity — content management system used to publish website text and images. Public content is fetched from Sanity's CDN; the site does not send your personal data to Sanity through the contact form. See Sanity's privacy policy.
  • Google — Google Maps is embedded on the contact page and Google Fonts are loaded for typography. Google may process technical data when these resources load. See Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep data

Contact form enquiries are emailed to the practice inbox. Retention in email and any practice records is: Contact form enquiries are retained only for as long as necessary to respond to enquiries and manage related communications..

Hosting/server log retention (if any): Server logs may be retained for security, troubleshooting, and operational purposes for a limited period as determined by the hosting provider..

Resend may retain message metadata according to its own policies — refer to Resend's documentation for current details.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, subject to applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

See our GDPR & Data Protection page for more detail on exercising your rights.

Security

We use HTTPS for this website. Contact form data is transmitted to our serverless API and forwarded to email via Resend. No security measure is perfect; please avoid sending sensitive clinical information through the general contact form — call the practice for urgent or confidential matters.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when that happens.
